月実亭茶室
Established by Obata Soyu sensei over 50 years ago, the tea room has been a place for the study of chado & ikebana, family gatherings, and local events. Some "wrinkles" may be showing, but this warm patina speaks to the many years of enjoyment and growth fostered within.
50年以上前に小幡宗友先生により設立され、茶道や生け花の稽古する場、家族の集いの場、金城の行事などに当茶室が愛用されてきました。ちょっとした「シワ」が目に入るでしょう。でもこれは長年、ここで養われた笑いや育成の暖かい「つや」だと思う。
Michael Hardy Sogetsu
マイケル・ハーディ 宗月
Born in Kentucky, USA, Mike is a chado nerd now living in Kyoto.
Introduced to Chado while in Japan as part of the JET program, Mike continued studying chado in his free time after returning to the States. In 2012, he returned to Japan to participate in the Urasenke Gakuen Professional College of Chado Non-Japanese Student Program. He received chamei (tea name) in 2016. Mike enjoys each day a bit more through tea, and hopes to share that enjoyment with others.
米国ケンタッキー州出身、京都在住の茶道愛好者。 JETプログラムで来日の時に茶道に出会う。帰国後も、勤務しながら稽古を続け、2012年に再来日し、裏千家学園茶道専門学校外国人研修コースに入学。2016年に茶名を拝受。お茶を通じて毎日をよりエンジョイできてて、その楽しみを他の人と共有したい。
Fumi Hirose Somi

Engrossed in Lacrosse during her college years. After graduation, since chado had also been part of her family life, Fumi entered the Urasenke Gakuen Profesional College of Chado. The profoundness in chado, along being able to meet people of widely diverse backgrounds left a lasting impression. She wants to share the appeal of Tea with others.
大学ではラクロスに夢中。家族が茶道をしてたこともあり、卒業後、裏千家学園茶道専門学校に入学。茶道の奥深さと幅広い分野の方と出会い、刺激を受ける。茶の魅力を伝えたい。
